After my short vacation, it was time to sail home. We had perfect weather for it.

We next sailed to Baltimore. Despite the upheaval last month, the city was busy and alive, plus it looks beautiful at night.

We went to the Naval Museum and it wasn't really crowded. This man moved me. At every exhibit he would take off his hat and just take it all in.

This was my first night in Annapolis, Maryland. I love the streets and atmosphere here. We sailed over, and it was so relaxing.

Today I am leaving for a girls trip to Baltimore for a few days. I am having huge separation anxiety from my kids, especially this little guy, even though I could really use a break. I'm sure once I am down there I will be fine, but right now I want to cry. I will back to posting my daily photos when I get back!

Memorial Day is a day of reflection, but it's also a day off from school, which means sprinkler fun!! 🇺🇸

The sass on my soon to be 5 year old is incredible. Here Sydney is, in the yard, dictating how her OLDER sister and younger brother should be acting. She had no idea I was taking this photo! Sidetone: she picked this dress out at H&M on her own, and I wish I had one in my size.

We normally try to stay off the beach on Memorial Day Weekend (most of the townsfolk do), but this morning it was pretty cold, which made the tourists late to come down. We had some quick fun on the beach playground nice and early! By the time we started walking back home, the streets were crowded with traffic.

Sydney and I are both the same in that we try to randomly use different styles. I am trying something slightly different with editing for this one photo, she is trying a different headscarf or headband every few seconds. Neither of us are particularly thrilled with our choices right now, but thats how you discover new things, right?

141 | 365 : Getting To Know You

Even though it was a busy day, I did have time to let Oscar out to get to know the kids more. Grayson is in awe.

140 | 365 : Tea Time

Theres a new tea shop in town, so I had to have a date with my son and try it. He was just like mommy with his "tea" AKA apple juice and croissant. I love supporting small business, and spending one on one time with my little man. They are only little for so long!

139 | 365 : Off Season

Grayson is a little disappointed today. Oscar is still getting acclimated to his new home, and I'm having him hop around with me before I unleash the kids fully to him. To make him feel better, he is watching the Polar Express. He loves watching it now, and wasn't too much of a fan this past winter. His main complaint is that it doesn't have Captain America in it, but he'll deal with it.

138 | 365 : Meet Oscar

Meet Oscar, the brand new addition to the family. Oscar is a baby Netherland Dwarf bunny, and won't grow to more than 2.5 lbs. He's so silky soft. He comes over to me when he hears my voice, and started coming to Grayson too. I can't wait to document their adventures. They are best friends already.

136 | 365 : My Birthday

Today is my birthday, and I turned 32. I like to reflect a bit, and see what has happened over the last year. I've been through some very stressful this year, my running is so much a part of my life that I have gotten down to a little over and 8 min mile (go me!), became a sea glass addict, and have watched my children blossom.  I have seen my photography business grow, and have reconnected with one of my oldest and closest friend.s. All in all, even with setbacks and drama (who doesn't have that?) its been a pretty damn good year. Now lets eat cake!!

135 | 365 : Quality Time

There's only about another week before the tourists come to our beach for the summer. We are spending quality time in the emptiness before that happens!

134 | 365 : Cozy

It's a lazy day, and Grayson fell asleep in my bed for a nap. I love the way his feet curl into each other. I think I do the same thing when I sleep.

133 | 365 : Superhero

Grayson has taken a liking to superheroes. His "chewy" is one of his many Aden and Anais  swaddles he still goes to bed with, and makes for an awesome cape. Thank you "chewy" for being his best friend since birth.

As hot as it was today, it was definitely a day to get out and walk. I love looking at the world around me through a 3 year old. Every single thing was a wonder.

131 | 365 : Rough Days

Today was one of those days where nothing went right. I got into a car accident, which shouldn't have been a big deal, but Grayson screaming his head off, and having a minor mark on him from his seat, sent me over the edge. The mom guilt has kicked in, and the stress of not being able to afford the deductible to get the car fixed is too. Grayson must have known how sad I was, because he asked me to play "super hero guys" (imaginext figures) with him. Boys always know how to pick their mommies up when they are down.

130 | 365 : Makes Me Happy

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I am spending the day with family, but here are 3 of my reasons for living. This was the closest thing to a nice pic of 3 of them together I could get. HA!

129 | 365 : First Race

I had my first race of the racing season today, called the Moms Day 5K. I am proud to say that even with it pouring, I received my personal best time of 26:46. Theres a lot more races coming up, and I am waiting to see what times I get for other distances. It is a vast improvement from last year! Go me!

128 | 365 : Mothers Day Tea

Today at school was the "mothers day tea" for Sydney's class. I got a wonderful handmade card, ate some delicious tea and cupcakes to classical music, and got to dance with my little lady. Its hard to have individual time with any of the 4 kids, so I treasure these moments so much. They only stay little for so long.

Sydney loves planting. She is so excited to have planted something of her own and can't wait for it to grow! That is her name that she wrote on the little plastic pot, but it's hard to write on those, so it's slightly illegible.

I don't know how this happens, but Sydney comes home from preschool and looks like she's been through a wind tunnel! I do her hair every day, and she's only there 3 hours. She's still my little beauty though.

It's warm, so afternoons are now spent blowing bubbles and getting messy. Yes, he has some dirt on his face I'm not bothering to clean right about now. Silly mommy!

Today I got some hand me down tees from a British friend I had met on IG years ago. I also received new Babiators sunglasses the same day. I love happy mail! And Grayson is completely ace now. Top from Next.

I have to use a second photo of the day on Cassie's communion and my color challenge (3/5). I am just so in awe of how I feel like she was just baptized, and now she's a little lady.

Duchess Kate isn't the only one who has a little princess today. Cassie had her communion, and I cried a little. I'm having flashes of her wedding! She isn't a girly girl, so getting her hair done is a treat (for me!). Tomorrow I'll post a full dress pic.

121 | 365 : Dentist

Today was Grayson's first dental appointment that was successful. The first time was 6 months ago, and he had bitten the dentist. Today was a complete opposite. He listened, he was calm, and very happy. I'm so proud of him! Now if only he can stop being a "threenager" constantly at home!
