120 | 365 : Orange

Day 2/5 of the color challenge is the color orange for me. I'm not a fan of it, unless its in sunrise form.

119 | 365 : Green

On my instagram (@milkandhoneyphotog) I was tagged to do a "color challenge" and I was delighted to take part. You post a different color a day, for 5 days. I am starting today off with green, my favorite color. This is a fraction of the sea glass I found this weekend on our beach. I've always loved the green ones, but I did find one that was baby blue. I need to find more! Grayson calls these his treasures.

118 | 365 : Duck Face

Grayson: "Mommy! Take a picture of my silly face!" Put this in the memory books folks: Grayson's first duck face.

117 | 365 : Ikea

Mommy went to Ikea and got a little friend to come home to Grayson. He loves him! Unfortunately Ikea does not sell princess dresses, so Sydney is not pleased.

116 | 365 : New Day

Another day, another sunrise and more sea glass. I am the luckiest person to live in the beach town I love in. This print is for sale, if anyone is interested! Email me here : milky photos@gmail.com

115 | 365 : Twinning

I've always loved Vans, and I was so happy to get myself a new pair, and a pair for Grayson as well. I'm still surprised at how small his feet are right now (6.5 toddler at age 3?). I am still in kids sizes at almost 32 (my birthday is May 16th), so I guessI shouldn't be surprised.

114 | 365 : Delicate

It was a busy day today. Remember the maternity session I did last month with my friend from childhood? /well, she had her sweet baby. Meet Talia, a delicate little lady, with a huge pair of lungs! I was honored to come to the hospital to photograph her in her first 24 hours.

113 | 365 : Brothers

I don't post pictures of Andrew too often, but I have to post this one. I love the way he (13) and Grayson interact. I think its so funny, and I don't understand it a lot of the time. For instance, why does the majority of the interaction come down to head butts? I guess I have to be a guy to know. I love their unbreakable bond, even if I don't get it.

112 | 365 : Earth Day

I celebrated Earth Day today by going to the beach and collecting sand dollars and sea glass after my run. Sydney (or Princess Anna today) celebrated by just stopping and smelling the flowers.

111 | 365 : Growing

Grayson was riding his tricycle around in the yard today, and it struck me how much bigger he looks lately. Slow down, my sweet, green eyed 3 year old. Mommy's not ready!!

110 | 365 : Weather Today

After a few nice days, it is pouring rain. Grayson and Spiderman are not too thrilled about it. They want back on our beach.

109 | 365 : Fresh

I'm finally feeling better, so I decided to make some fresh sauce for a lasagna tonight. There's nothing like the smell of cooking on a Sunday.

108 | 365 : Emotion

I'm stuck in bed with a nasty stomach bug, so I am missing not only a beautiful day, but Cassie's softball parade and game. I told her to show me her tough face for the game, so I would "get an idea" of what she would look like playing today. This is what I got.

107 | 365 : Beast

Grayson is an absolute beast today. Don't let this picture fool you. He just passed out after a day filled with whining and tantrums. I'm waiting to see what my "threenager" has in store for me the rest of the day.

106 | 365 : Sneaky

My "threenager"has turned into a sneaky bugger. This is him sneaking time on the iPad and getting caught. And yes, he figured out the code!

105 | 365 : Treasures

One of the benefits from living feet away from the Atlantic Ocean is all the treasures you find. Grayson is not a fan of shells, but he loves the different colors of colors and sea glass we find!

104 | 365 : Messy

Does anyone else's kid look like they've been through a war when they get home from school? And pre-k is only a half day! Guess its a sign of a fun filled day!

103 | 365 : Swingin'

When the first really nice day is upon you and the brand new swings at the playground are up, you drop what you are doing and take advantage of it!

102 | 365 : From Above

It was inevitable really: Sydney discovered those awful "surprise egg" videos on the kids YouTube. After watching multiple ones, she insisted I drag out some "magic clip" Disney princesses, thanks to an episode featuring them. Also thanks to them: she now knows the horror of having "duplicates". Why DO we have so many Annas?

101 | 365 : My View Today

I played softball for about 16 years, so every year when Cassie (left) has her first practice of the season, I get really excited. She's got such a pop in her bat, it makes me so proud. I hope she enjoys it as much as her mommy did!

100 | 365 : Imagination

I love Sydney's imagination. Every day she changes into a different costume or outfit multiple times. Today we started as Anna from Frozen, was Sophia until lunch, and just was Sully from Monsters University for most of the afternoon. I hear her getting changed into "fancy" pajamas now. I never want her imagination daydreams to end. Side note: I made it to day 100 for Project 365. Woo hoo!!!

099 | 365 : Yellow

It's back to being cold, but these yellow flowers are trying hard to convince everyone its spring.

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

098 | 365 : Personality

Grayson's personality is really coming out these days. He's such a comedian every single day. Its so funny to see my boy come out of his shell and be so goofy! Top by H&M, hat by Oshkosh.

097 | 365 : Sweet

With the weather getting warmer, its become easier to walk to Main St and visit the shops. Today we went to Sweet, a local cupcake / candy store. Grayson loved everything in there, and luckily they make milk free treats, since he is allergic.

096 | 365 : Monday

Yes, Grayson, this is how I feel Mondays after a holiday too. And yes, his eyes are slightly open in a creepy way. Notice the winter jacket is away... hopefully it stays that way!

095 | 365 : Eggs

Happy Easter from all of us here at the Jersey Shore! We hope the bunny was good to you like he was to us!

Saturday, April 4, 2015

094 | 365 : The Hunt

This morning was our town's Easter egg hunt on the beach. Due to the incredibly high winds and Grayson's fear/clinging to me, I only got one picture of the actual hunt. The kids had fun, I promise!

093 | 365 : My Morning

My morning consisted of trying to get a brush through Sydney's hair. With its long length, its was getting huge knots. I decided to do a quick walk in for a haircut for her (my usual salon did not have an opening and I was desperate). I'm happy, because now my arm can relax. She's happy, because she looks more like Sofia the First now.

092 | 365 : Next To Me

Grayson wanted to wash off after his bath with a big boy shower, but only if I would stand right next to him (on the other side of the curtain of course).

091 | 365 : Season

I always think of April 1st as the unofficial start to spring. Unfortunately its still cold and windy though, so its hard to believe it. Sydney had her Easter egg hunt at Pre-K though, so despite the fact that I was shielding myself from frigid wind, I still kind of felt the spring season around me.
