090 | 365 : Bunny Ears

Easter is this Sunday, and I am trying to get Grayson into the spirit by wearing these cute bunny ears I found. He's not really thrilled.

089 | 365 : Brand New

My heart exploded on this session today. Introducing Cooper, the cutest brand new baby, who loved his hands in his face. I reconnected with his mother whom I was very good friends with in high school and my early 20s. I'm so glad I did. I can't wait for our friendship to become strong again!

088 | 365 : Cupcake

I am editing all day, but I keep getting distracted thinking about this little treat I'm going to have after dinner. I'm an avid runner, and try to stay away from junk food, but I cannot resist a good cupcake. This is a "churro" one and I can't wait to try it.

087 | 365 : Maternity

Starting today I start to get busy with sessions again, and I'm starting out with a favorite. I grew up with this momma to be and her family, so taking these pictures was something that I was honored to do. I cannot wait for this little bundle of joy to make an appearance.

Cassie and Sydney are the picture perfect definition of sisters: loving one minute, killing each other the next. They have an amazing bond. I get jealous of these two sometimes, because I can see that these sisters will have closeness for the rest of their lives.

I realized that if you are following this blog you most likely have no idea what I look like. This scares me, but here you go! I have a horrible self image, which is why I am not in my own pictures. But here you go! Its only fair that if you are following me here or on IG you deserve to have an idea of what I am like!

I found one of Grayson's old hand knit bonnets from when he was a baby and I made him wear it for a few seconds since it always looked huge. This is his amused face.

Last night after the last performance I brought home a huge fundraiser size tin of popcorn in 3 flavors. It will not go to waste in this house!

081 | 365 :Sunday Morning

Today was the last day of performances for Assassins, the musical I volunteer for. I love taking backstage shots of the actors when they are getting ready and not paying attention to me.

080 | 365 : Beanie

I want winter to end just as much as the next person (be gone sickness from my house!), but one thing I will miss is beanies. It was a stylish and easy way to cover up bad hair days for both myself and Grayson. His favorite beanie from H&M.

079 | 365 : Favorite Book

Poor Grayson. Not only is it snowing on the first day of spring (ok, thats bothering me more than him), but he spiked a fever of 103.5. Sick again! What's making him happy is reading his newest favorite book "Dragons Love Tacos" over and over. Not only is it funny, but it has 2 things he loves: dragons and tacos!

078 | 365 : In My Kitchen

This is a usual sight in my kitchen after school: snack and coloring time, a favorite of Sydney's.

077 | 365 : Braids

Other than picking out her own outfits that will most likely be pink, Sydney's newest thing is having her hair done a different way every day for school. Even though she has no part in her hair, and its a bit messy, this is my favorite one. It reminds me that she's still a little girl, and not the older girl she acts like sometimes. It also reminds me that she needs a haircut.

076 | 365 : Green

Happy St Patrick's Day! I'm only Irish by marriage, but I love this holiday, because everything is my favorite color: green! It's this little green eyed leprechaun's too, so he was more than happy to wear his green Lolly Lu Designs bowtie to celebrate.

075 | 365 : Sliding Back

We were doing so well with potty training, and then over this weekend things changed. Accidents everywhere. We still haven't mastered the pooping part (still so scared), but we've even slid back on the peeing part. Today was a hard day. I'm hoping tomorrow we'll get back on track, but in the mean time, any one have any suggestions? Again, the girls were so much easier!!

Sunday is my relaxation day usually. Today I really wanted to go to Target (who doesn't??). I can always find amazing things there. Here is Grayson wanting everything Target had to offer, just like his mommy.

073 | 365 : Dreary

Its a dreary, rainy day today. Even the cat is feeling lazier than normal.

072 | 365 : Starts With "W"

Other than my photography sessions, I sell Scentsy to help make some money and provide for my family. This month, they came out with new spring scents. I received the new wax samples awhile ago, but I am just getting around to sorting them (actual bars are MUCH bigger!). Grayson loves helping his mommy out. Not sure what Scentsy is? 071 | 365 : Negative Space

Negative space was something that I was taught to avoid in photography, but I actually think it evokes more emotions and draws others in.

070 | 365 : Defrost

The defrost has started! I can see grass for the first time in weeks. Its really warm today, so we got to celebrate it by walking to school for Sydney's pre-k this afternoon. I hope the spring weather lasts.

069 | 365 : Metal

I love little boys on Radio Flyer tricycles. I particularly love this trike because its the classic metal and red color, but also folds up. Makes transporting for photo shoots a breeze. Grayson loves it because its just his size, and he can ride it around the house (in actuality, I tell him not to ride it around the house all the time, but he does it anyway). Please excuse the sweats day. We aren't doing too well with the potty today.

068 | 365 : Goofy

Grayson has a new goofy habit. If he tells a joke, or if he finds something funny, he now covers his mouth as he giggles. I think its adorable. Hat by H&M, shirt by Whistle and Flute.

067 | 365 : Homework

Cassie has homework every day including weekends. Can you tell how much she loves every moment of it? I can just feel the happiness radiating off of her. HA!

066 | 365 : Bad Day

Today was one of those bad days. A day in which nothing went right. I won't bore you with details, but it left me pondering and coming to the realization of where I stand on a lot of things. Any way, I am like Sydney in that the way to make things better is to take a relaxing bath. These two characters were the only ones I wanted to spend time with while I de-stressed.

065 | 365 : Icicles

When icicles from your house are almost as big as your 3 year old, you know its time for winter to be over. Special thanks to my husband Danny for actually holding it, since Grayson wouldn't. Side note: if this is post 65, that means only 300 days to go in the project!

064 | 365 : Bubbles

Another snow day today. Even the kids are tired of all of this. Not one child has asked to play in the snow. Sydney instead asked to have an extra long bath with lots of bubbles.

063 | 365 : Puddles

The weather has been so crazy lately. They are calling for a major snow storm overnight tonight, so I was more than happy to get the kids out to their library story time before we were stuck in the house. On the way there, Sydney found some deep puddles. She was thrilled that she got to be like one of her favorite characters, Peppa Pig, and go into them. However, she is still very girly, and would not jump high in them so she wouldn't "ruin" her pants and boots.

062 | 365 : Noise

The definition of a boy is: noise, with dirt on it. It's definitely true. I feel like as soon as all the older kids are at school, Grayson becomes the loudest (and messiest) 3 year old I know! Top by H & M.

061 | 365 : Happy Mail

I love happy mail! Today we received a package from Lolly Lu Designs, who makes wonderful bow ties for little boys. They were so sweet to send Grayson all of these. I can't wait to have him model them. They remind me so much of spring, which we are all desperately looking forward to!

060 | 365 : My Passion

As you can probably tell, my kids (and hubby of course) are my number one reason for living. My passion? Photography. I have always loved it, ever since I asked for my first film camera at the age of 8. Today my main camera is the Nikon d800, but who knows which ones I will have in the future. Sorry for the weird hands. I didn't want my reflection in the photo!
