270 | 365 : Lazy

It's a cool, dreary, Sunday so that means its time for the usual: Mommy watches football and in between the kids play with Play Doh.

218 | 365 : Bear

I love bears. They are absolutely my most favorite gifts of all time. The kids were playing with them and left this one behind. The lighting made it very poetic.

210 | 365 : Minions

We went to another movie this summer. For us, its an expensive experience with all the kids, but they were begging to see the Minions movie. It was a cute one, but Grayson declared he liked Inside Out better. Secretly I did too.

208 | 365 : Distraction

Don't worry about me cleaning the floor today Grayson. I guess I will get it when you are done with your trucks. Haha!

174 | 365 : Humid

It was 95 degrees and humid today. I sent Elsa out to cool things down, but its still disgusting out. A thunderstorm just started though, so maybe she's coming through!

166 | 365 : Playtime

"Mommy, you be Percy." I'm always the Percy to his Thomas when we play trains.

163 | 365 : Surgery

I had a surgical procedure today on my hip to remove a small mass. I'm fine and spending time in bed, which is a first in awhile. I'm horribly upset that I can't run for 7-10 days. Knowing that my run early this morning was my last for at least a week sucks. I know it sounds crazy, but running is my sanity! Especially since I have to wait for biopsy results on the little "friend" they cut out of me!

159 | 365 : Trains

I love that Grayson still plays with Thomas the Tank Engine. I think I will be horribly upset when he stops asking me to play trains with him. It's a sign of a boys toddlerhood, and when he stops, that means he's not a toddler anymore.

139 | 365 : Off Season

Grayson is a little disappointed today. Oscar is still getting acclimated to his new home, and I'm having him hop around with me before I unleash the kids fully to him. To make him feel better, he is watching the Polar Express. He loves watching it now, and wasn't too much of a fan this past winter. His main complaint is that it doesn't have Captain America in it, but he'll deal with it.

131 | 365 : Rough Days

Today was one of those days where nothing went right. I got into a car accident, which shouldn't have been a big deal, but Grayson screaming his head off, and having a minor mark on him from his seat, sent me over the edge. The mom guilt has kicked in, and the stress of not being able to afford the deductible to get the car fixed is too. Grayson must have known how sad I was, because he asked me to play "super hero guys" (imaginext figures) with him. Boys always know how to pick their mommies up when they are down.

117 | 365 : Ikea

Mommy went to Ikea and got a little friend to come home to Grayson. He loves him! Unfortunately Ikea does not sell princess dresses, so Sydney is not pleased.

110 | 365 : Weather Today

After a few nice days, it is pouring rain. Grayson and Spiderman are not too thrilled about it. They want back on our beach.

102 | 365 : From Above

It was inevitable really: Sydney discovered those awful "surprise egg" videos on the kids YouTube. After watching multiple ones, she insisted I drag out some "magic clip" Disney princesses, thanks to an episode featuring them. Also thanks to them: she now knows the horror of having "duplicates". Why DO we have so many Annas?

086 | 365 : Snack Time Friend

I always have snack time with my dinosaurs. Don't you?

054 | 365 : Soft

Panda is taking a break today, so bunny is playing with us now. I gave Grayson this sweet bunny when he was a baby. He's seen better days, but is still so soft. If you ever have a chance to buy one, definitely do so! Bunny from Jellycat.

050 | 365 : Chinese New Year

Today is the Chinese New Year! This year its the year of the goat, but don't tell Grayson that. He's really into pandas right now (see day 46) and he thinks that its his panda's birthday instead. We are reading lots of panda stories to celebrate!

046 | 365 : Panda

I don't know what it is, but Grayson is really all about panda bears lately (and dinosaurs, but pandas more). This is his buddy from Ikea, and he loves him. He reads panda stories with us at night, and as you can see, he waits patiently at the stair landing for Grayson to play with him. I really love this phase!

039 | 365 : Chaos

Today is my dear husband's birthday. Unfortunately, with me being so sick, the festivities had to be postponed. Feeling horrible, I told the kids to at least draw pictures and make cards for him. I went downstairs a few minutes later (the one time I left bed) and found no pictures drawn, and Grayson making a mess with an Angry Birds game. Sigh. They did make pictures for him later at least.

037 | 365 : Give Me Comfort

It was inevitable really. Today I am sidelined and can not get out of bed. I get sick a lot, due to Thalassemia, a blood disorder I have. Any normal sickness that goes through my house gets aggravated to the max in me. I get sad, because I can't care for the kids like I want to. I know that mommy guilt shouldn't kick up, but it does. I guess its a lot of antibiotic, soup, catalog shopping, and a super cuddly teddy bear from Next (given to Grayson from my very best British friend Laura) to make me feel better. Grayson likes to share his comforts with his mommy when she feels bad.

025 | 365 : Wii

Call me a bad parent, but when I have things to do around the house, I have no problem letting Grayson play the Wii if he asks. I have a feeling that he is going to be a gamer, just like his older brother Andrew.
